Congratulations, Sofia (more chances to win in April)
At the Cesar Chavez Day of Service on Saturday, March 30, Richmond SOL players, parents, coaches, and board members pitched in to beautify the alley behind Portumex, parallel to Calle 23. The day was a big success, with live music, painting, planting, weeding, litter cleanup — and some pretty cool artwork along the fences and walls of the alley. Another highlight of the day was Richmond SOL’s fundraising raffle (the first of two this spring). Players have been selling $5 raffle tickets to help keep registration fees more affordable for families. The grand prize winner of the March 30 raffle was Sofia Arteaga, who won the xBox One. If you didn’t win a prize, remember you still have more chances to win at our April 27 drawing (see next blog post about the National Park Rx Day community fair). Players, keep up the great work and sell your remaining raffle tickets! Thanks to everyone who continues to support Richmond SOL. You’re helping provide Sports-Outreach-Leadership and a quality soccer program for our youth!
